Leadership
Brenda Hubley is the Chair and Interim Managing Director of Cancer Care Alberta, leading Alberta’s provincial cancer system. With a clinical background as a Radiation Therapist, Brenda is a health-care leader who has worked in the sector for over 30 years and has held significant leadership positions in cancer programs at both large, academic centres and in rural and community settings. Since joining the Alberta health system in 2006, Brenda has held numerous leadership positions in cancer care including most recently Alberta Health Services Cancer Care Alberta Chief Program Officer. Brenda is committed to advancing high-performing cancer systems informed by research and evidence, designed in partnership with patients and families, and respectful and responsive to the diversity of the populations they serve.

Cancer Care Alberta is now a Provincial Health Corporation that will oversee and deliver timely, cutting-edge treatment and services for all Albertans with cancer. It will have enhanced oversight and responsibility for managing its workforce and operation funding.
